A word from Gema

“For years, parents have asked me for one-on-one support for their own family, not just general tips. Every home has a different mix of languages, people and places. In one session we look at yours, and you leave knowing exactly what to do next for your bilingual child.”

Still have questions?

Who is Gema?

Gema Brett is a linguist with a degree in Philology from the University of Havana and more than 15 years of teaching and research. She is the founder of FamiLingua, the creator of the CEN Method, the author of Language Unlocked, and a mom raising three multilingual children.

How do I know if a consultation is right for my family?

If you are raising a child in more than one language and you want to know exactly what to do next, it is right for you. Families come at every stage: expecting a baby, starting from birth, a child who understands but will not speak, a move to a new country, or three and more languages at home.

How much does a session cost?

$75 for a 60-minute private video session, and your Family Language Plan is included.

Can I keep working with Gema?

Yes. A 60-minute follow-up is usually most useful about three months later, once your plan has had time to work.

A more comprehensive, longer-term program of support is being put together at FamiLingua right now. Check our website for more information.

What happens after my session?

A few days after your session you receive your Family Language Plan by email: a page made for your family, with the steps, the reasons behind them and resources for your languages, plus a printable copy. It is best viewed on a computer, but it works on your phone too.

Do you work with any language?

Yes. Sessions are online, so families join from anywhere in the world, with any combination of languages.

What if something comes up and I need to cancel or reschedule?

Just email hello@familinguacenter.com and we will find a new time together.

What happens to what I share during a session?

It stays between you and Gema, and it is only used to build your family's plan.
